The 2006 Benefit Committee is pleased to announce that proceeds raised from this year’s benefit, Cincotti in Concert, to be held Wednesday, May 24, will be used to increase teacher salaries.
Competitive salaries are critical to Brearley’s ability to recruit and retain teachers. The School’s goal is to compensate the faculty at a level that reflects their excellent qualifications and talent and that secures the School’s competitive position in the marketplace.
When you buy a ticket to the benefit, your money will supplement funds already designated for salaries. It will help pay for an immediate increase beyond what tuition can typically support and allow Brearley to catch up with the competition. Last year’s benefit was instrumental in funding a nine percent salary increase. This year the benefit committee is again dedicated to rewarding our teachers while working to avoid further additions to the tuition burden.
